Cindy Wimmer did a great job pairing together all the participants for the button swap- Thank you for hosting this Cindy! WHAT A FUN TIME!
I was paired up with Liz DeLuca of Creative Arty Facts. She creates her own lampwork glass buttons but also collects vintage buttons and she sent me a little of both.
Three small lampwork shank style buttons, and a regular lampworkg gray and black square shaped button.... and then a collection of vintage shank and regular style buttons in whites/greens.
They have a new and old feel - each set.... so I created 2 bracelets- a new modern beaded bracelet and then a more romantic, vintage style bracelet with seed beads.
I used the square shaped lampwork glass button in this first bracelet, with matte magenta seed beads, bright and colorful vintage buttons of all shapes and sizes, a vintage glass barrel, an enameled round from Barbara Lewis, and a Bottle Cap Bead from Glass Garden Beads. Simple to put together, but hip and modern.
The second bracelet has a more vintage look. The sweet little buttons in the other set, came together in an asymmetrical seed beaded bracelet design. I used some teal glass seed beads, created a beaded loop at one end and started stringing seed beads, and then attached each of the buttons, some layered with others from my own stash and some just strung like beads. I ended it with the white flower shank button , and added some Thai silver charms on the ends of the Soft Flex magenta beading wire.
I hope you enjoy hopping through the participants blogs today! I am visiting my Momma this weekend and will hop when I get home Sunday.
