Jewelry Stringing Spring Issue

I picked up the digital issue of Jewelry Stringing magazine this morning and perused it over coffee. I am not in this particular issue but quite a few of my friends are!! I really enjoyed this COLOR-IFIC issue- it's FULL of interesting and unique designs!! Sometimes it's rare to see such one-of-a-kind projects but this issue really is one of the best I've seen!

Erin Siegel has some wonderful projects in the mag, and I was absolutely FLOORED by a bracelet design by Cynthia Machata that uses leather and pearls.  There are really great earring designs. Ah well, I'm SO INSPIRED!!

I also learned from this issue that they are now accepting Bead Star submissions!! Be sure to read the guidelines carefully- there is a fee now to enter!

    1. Cynthia,
I didn't know that was your design as I did not know your full name. WOW! Amazing bracelet, really!!!

  2. I totally agree, too! I was amazed at that bracelet by Cynthia. SO cool and CLEVER!!! I did not know it was the same Cynthia of Antiquity Travelers until just now seeing her comment! I saw the Bead Star thing, too. We'll see if I can get my act together enough to enter. Right now, it's not looking good for the early bird submissions...

  3. Haven't seen this one yet--this is the first issue in years that I didn't get anything accepted. Does anyone feel that their new submission guidelines are too restrictive? I don't mind working to a color palette, and I don't mind working to a theme, but if you make me work to a color palette AND a theme, you will never get my best work. Plus, all the designs look too much the same. Man, that sounds super bitchy, doesn't it?

  4. Love, love, love the heart collection, Lorelei.
I agree with Erin re the new Stringing guidelines - yes, everything does begin to look the same and there's little distinction identifying a designer's work anymore.

I'm sorry to have to turn on the word verification here, but I got fed up with spammers comments!
