Back to it, Finally!

Most of the beads are finally shifted and the new bead fest loot is put away. Now I can get back to business and get back into the swing of things. Last night I made these two pieces and it took me the entire night. That's a lot of time for me, to work on a specific piece of jewelry. I don't tend to second guess myself as much as I did last night. The bracelet above features some different ceramic art beads: Elaine Ray, Summer Studios Etc., ChelleV2, Gaea.... with a ceramic bird toggle from Pajego Art House. I layered one of KRISTI BOWMAN'S patterned copper buttons on top of a ceramic disk bead from Gaea. The enameled purple round is from Barbara Lewis, enameled flower charm is from C-Koop Beads,  and the pale green oval is a stone (unsure what it's called- probably not turquoise but maybe?)

This necklace is really cool but it took forever to come together. I wrapped some of that Fiber Wire that I got from Karen Totten's daughter, around one of Marsha Neal's ceramic shard tube beads. Flanked it with brass bead caps from Vintaj. Up the left side is faceted prehnite, Czech glass, and a dotted ceramic Kazuri round from Antelope beads. Up the Right side is some urchin sticks, a faceted Green amethyst nugget, a patina copper Greek bead, Czech glass and seed beads.   The porcelain square button is from Round Rabbit Extra.

  5. Great bracelet, love how you used my copper button. I really love how you used the fiber as a bail on the necklace AND the little sea urchin spines.
