Gettin Gritty

You may or may not have found out about Becky Caldwell's new line of beads so what better time for me to show some off to you. The Gritty Bird has a lovely new line of beads made from paper clay- painted, glazed and aren't they the cutest things you've ever seen???   You can find them in her etsy shop, The Gritty Bird.

Here  is a nice close up shot of some of the ones she sent to me. I love these colors so so much! The rustic non-perfectly shaped beads are great for any genre, as you can see here. I paired them with some steampunkish components like this old vintage skeleton key and one of Earthenwood Studio's gear beads, ceramic rings from Marsha Neal Studio, and some copper chain. I capped the beads with some of my own handmade brass bead caps.

You'll be able to find this new necklace in my Big Cartel shop shortly!  In the meantime, I hope you stop by Becky's shop and pick up your own Gritty Beads!
