Capping Beads

There is just something about a capped bead, I just can't get enough!
This time, I made some hammered brass caps using this awesome
Brass sheet that Vintaj is now selling. It works like a charm, I tell ya!

In this first pair, I dug into my dragon's hoard of lampwork glass, and nabbed these encased beauties from The Orange Bell. Love the coral and gray coloring with the brass caps.

The second pair, I used another hoarded pair of lampwork beauties from Gardanne Beads. The earthy coloring with the hammered brass, is a wonderful combination. I also can't seem to get away from earrings lately. I go through these weird spurts, where all I can make is one type of thing. Kind of obsessive compulsive I think.
But, at any rate, these are both available in the shop!!

In other news.... Just few more days to wait, and then you can finally enjoy the Fruitful Labor of the Bead Soup Swappers!! The Bead Soup Party will be several days long, and there will be lots of blog hopping. I can't wait to see what my partner came up with the beads I sent her! I finished my Bead Soup project last weekend and couldn't be happier with the outcome. Guess you'll have to come back on Saturday, the 19th, to see what I came up with!

  2. So pretty! I went to B&B with the intention of finding a disc cutter as my tool purchase and walked away with an E3 Etching system, a dead blow hammer, some cool typewriter font lowercase letters...and no disc cutter! I now know that I want the one that Sherri Haab endorsed called a Pepe. Or the one I saw on Etsy with a clear acrylic top. Not sure. And I still have a little cash left so maybe it is time to go buy it! Oh...and that new riveting tool I saw... too many choices! But these? are lovely. As ever.
And I will be revealing my three helpings of soup on Saturday as well...just as soon as I can get those pictures off my camera!
    Enjoy the day!

  7. You are making me lose my ongoing argument with myself in which myself insists I need a disc cutter and I insist that I need my money for things like food and electricity.

    Your beadcaps are fabulous!

  9. A disc cutter....another tool to put on my long list.

As for your obsessive compulsive behavior, I do the same with sweets. I eat the same sweet for weeks until I get sick of it then move on to the next.

    Beautiful caps, by the way!
