Enchanted Adornments Giveaway No.4: HEARTS

Cynthia Thornton, of Green Girl Studios, has written an amazing book called Enchanted Adornments: Creating Mixed-Media Jewelry with Metal, Clay, Wire, Resin & More, and it will be released on November 1, 2009! I am really excited about the release of this book because Cynthia and her family, are all amazingly talented and this book will totally rock the hizzouse. But not only that, I contributed a piece of jewelry for the Gallery section of the book, and am really super excited for all of you to see it!

The Green Girl Studios team, graciously donated 8 small packages of beads to be randomly given away, in honor of the big book release, to my little blog! How cool is that! This week will be the first of the 8 givaways. This FOURTH package of beads contains 7 pewter beads/pendants, all in the HEART THEME! There are many hearts so these have been broken up into 2 heart packs. this is the first of the 2. (Each giveaway will have a different theme!)

  12. whatever bead I am making is my current fav, but I did have a pendant that was an abstract human figure made from a very white translucent porcelain clay, Southern Ice, and glazed with a temmoku glaze. The rich variation of colors was wonderful. Too bad I dropped it and broke it.....

  21. ooh pretty hearts! It's so hard to choose from all my pretties...hmm. Well I guess it's any of the Indian Sapphire colour swarovski crystal that I have. My mum made my wedding dress and the bodice was beaded with these. I made accessories for my hair from them. Since then they seem too special to me to use in anything else.

  22. Hmmm, a difficult question for sure! It could be the vintage glass beads my twin sis gave me when I was just starting out in the craft, or the cool pendant I purchased which is made out of a broken shard of Fiestaware from DVH Designs. But actually my favorite is a strand of ancient carnelian trade beads.

  46. I think my favorite bead would have to be a shibuichi bird toggle that I won from Green Girl Studios, ironically! It is beautiful, but it would be out of my current bead budget to buy myself, so I am thankful it is in my collection. Thanks for the giveaway, I would love to add hearts to my GGS collection :)

  50. Several years ago my husband made me a lampworked glass frog bead; it is the poster child for wonky beads--or in the frog world, an example of what can happen if we don't care for the environment. Oh how I love this funky little bead. It was maybe the second bead he had ever made and always brings a smile to my face :-)
