Summer to Winter

Summer jewelry is really effortless to make, isn't it? I can make summer and sea themed jewelry any day of the year. But now it's time to start thinking about Winter designs for the Beading magazine publishers. It's hard. I'm stuck here, now. I don't want to think about Winter. In fact, I Can't think about winter right now. I don't even know what Winter jewelry looks like. Can't one wear this in the winter? I bet they could.

  2. I just bought a strand of square shaped freshwater pearls at my local bead shop, I was thinking beach also but now that you mention it I guess white pearls could easily be winter themed too, don't you agree?

  3. I have always thought of jewelry as seasonless....maybe it is just me. As a designer I might make some changes in colors, or some slight change in materials, but I still think jewelry is seasonless....hmmm, this is a hard one Lorelei! Winter already? I am seeing felt? Good luck my dear!

I love the mix of square/rectangle beads on this piece. The combination of colors - as always :) - is beautiful too.
I wouldn't assign a particular season to this particular piece, it really depends on what You're going to wear it with...but that's just me !

  7. I say wear what you love no matter the season. I would love to summer up my winter wardrobe with a bauble like that! Summer dreaming in winter...I like it! Enjoy the day, dear Miss Lorelei! Erin

  8. Is there really a season for jewelry? I don't know. I just wear what I want whenever the mood strikes me. That is what makes jewelry fun!!

  9. I'm drawn to darker colors more times than not, so seasonal doesn't enter my mind much. What I would change up would be the charms...those colors you used are great anytime, take out the seashore stuff and it could be fall. Its a beauty anyhow you look at it ;^)

  11. I tend to wear summery jewels in aquas, turquoise and lemon quarts all the long winter just to get my mind in a warmer space. This peace would definitely do the trick. It's lovely!

  12. but of course this could be worn in winter! it is very warm & earthy, plus the sea theme isn't overtly summery... and besides, some people are just very fond of the sea... in tibet and other cultures, turquoise and coral are symbolic, all-of-the-time colors... don't doubt, submit!
