Yay for Friday!

Yesterday I got some goodies in the mail that I wanted to share with you. First of all, I won a giveaway!! I was so surprised, and am completely thrilled with my new earrings- I signed up for Judy Gordon's newsletter. And she drew a random name, which was me! Yippee!

Her jewelry shop is called TeeFeeBijoux. Check it out, you won't be sorry. The craftsmanship of these pretties, is outstanding.

I also got a package from Pam Wynn. Pam sent me some of her beautiful Mokume Gane beads and I couldn't wait to use them. And didn't! I made this bracelet last night. The toggle ring is from Nancy at Round Rabbit and you can buy these rings now at her new shop Round Rabbit Extra! You can buy Pam's beads at her daughter Heather's website. www.heatherwynn.com

I sent in my submission for the Use the Muse contest on Scarlett Lanson's Blog. I can't reveal any pics yet but I am pleased with how my piece turned out. I will say, it's very different than my typical jewelry design style. Stay tuned for that, I hope to be able to show it off soon!

I also created this necklace last night. I was flipping through the pages over at Anthropologie, and am continually inspired by their shabby chic, girly jewelry. I used a polymer clay urchin from Heather (Humblebeads) and wrapped a chain link in pale pink silk ribbon! I also made the little flower out of smoky quartz rounds, and a faceted rondelle of New Jade. On the chain extender, I attached a little bling- a small faceted diamond-like button! Ooooh shabby!

  2. I am so inspired by Anthro too! I think I have all of their catalogs for the last 5 years or something.

All of these are stunning! I adore Heather Wynn's pieces, but hadn't checked out her mom's stuff yet. I will definitely have to do that!

  3. Busy girl. Your pieces are all wonderful. I especially like the pink ribbon wrap. I don't even like pink much but I like that. Happy Friday!

  4. Love the new pieces you are making.
So summery...did you know next week is the Vernal Equinox (Spring begins). I am expecting flowers to pop up all over the place and the days to climb to the 70's.
    Keep on dreaming...

  6. I love the ribbon-wrapped link, at first I thought they were heishe beads. And the little sparkle on the end, must be something in the air. I've been sneaking in little bits of crystal rondelles with wood and earthy beads. Have a creative weekend!
